Última A collection of Thalassinidea, Anomura and Brachyura (Crustacea: Decapoda) from the Kimberley region of Northwestern Australia Naturalis Morgan, G.J.. One hundred and five species of thalassinidean, anomuran and brachyuran decapod crustaceans are recorded from a 1988 collecting expedition to the Kimberley region of northwestern Australia. An additional 70 species are recorded from the literature. One new species of pagurid hermit crab and a new species of xanthid crab are described. B.; Borzone,Carlos A.. A recreational fishery that use ghost-shrimp as bait was evaluated along 11 km of a sandy beach of Paraná State. The beach was divided in five sectors and samples were obtained along a transect extended on the middle of each sector, after and before months of major extractive activity. The highest densities were found in beaches with well select very fine sands and gentle slope. The density decreased only at the sector that presented greater extractive activity. In this sector, the smallest mean modal size was detected too. The total standing stock of the whole area was 2,486,250 individuals before summer's months, with a mean density of de 4.48 ind.m-2. The complete larval development of the ghost shrimp Lepidophthalmus siriboia Felder & Rodrigues, 1993 was described and illustrated in detail from specimens reared in the laboratory. Ovigerous females were collected at Canela Island in the northeastern region of the State of Pará. The larvae hatch as a prezoea, in which they persist for less than 3 hours. The larval development consists of three zoeal stages and a megalopa. The zoeal development averaged from 69 to 111 hours. The period in the megalopa stage was about 185 hours (about 8 days). The percentage of individuals succeeding in molt into juvenile stage was 91,8%. The first juvenile stage was reached 254 hours (about 10 days) after hatching. Eiconaxius carinatus (Bouvier 1925) caracteriza-se, principalmente, por apresentar carenas laterais do rostro lisas, mero da quela maior com carena dorsal lisa, palma da quela maior exibindo carena dorsal bem nítida e dedos da quela menor de comprimento inferior ao da palma. Um exemplar foi coletado ao largo do Estado do Maranhão (00º 08' N e 44º 32' W) a 247 m de profundidade. A área de ocorrência anteriormente conhecida abrangia a Flórida e Antilhas (Santa Cruz e São Vicente), entre 161 e 339 m. Este trabalho registra pela primeira vez a família para o Brasil.
